IS 43:15-19 “15 I am the Lord, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King.” 16 Thus says the Lord, who makes a way in the sea, a path in the mighty waters, 17 who brings forth chariot and horse, army and warrior; they lie down, they cannot rise, they are extinguished, quenched like a wick: 18 “Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. 19 Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”

HES ON THE WAY - He’s declared it. the mouth of the Lord has Spoken,. IS 40:1-5 “1 Comfort, comfort my people, says your God. 2 Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and cry to her that her warfare is ended, that her iniquity is pardoned, that she has received from the Lord’s hand double for all her sins. 3 A voice cries: “In the wilderness prepare the way of the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God. 4 Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low; the uneven ground shall become level, and the rough places a plain. 5 And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.””

HE HAS A WAY - God has ways. we can LEARN HIS WAYS. Psalm

HE MAKES A WAY - Which is where we land today.

LOOK AT WHAT IT SAYS Vs 15:

“REMEMBER” who i am! Vs 15

is 43:15 “15 I am the Lord, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King.””

THIS IS WHO I AM, AND THIS IS WHAT I WILL DO.

**THE END OF 2021***

THE END OF A YEAR IS ALWAYS SOMETHING TO REFLECT ON.

THE END OF A YEAR COULD MEAN THE END OF A SEASON. OR JUST THE CONTINUATION OF THE CURRENT SEASON.

BUT AT THE END OF TYEH YEAR ITS GOOD TO REFLECT ON ALL THAT GODS DONE IN YOUR LIFE.

IT DOESN’T TAKE BUT VERY LONG TO SEE THE FAITHFULNESS OF A FAITHFUL GOD IN OUR YEAR.

REFLECTION QUESTIONS:

HOW HAS GOD BLESSED ME?

HOW HAS GOD USED ME?

HOW HAS HE WORKED THROUGH ME?

HOW HAS HE CHANGED ME?

I Believe as you answer these questions… as you spend some time maybe even later today reflecting on ALL that Gods done, you’ll begin to experience what its like to remember the faithfulness of GOD in 2021.

Why IS 43:18 “18 “Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old.”

God was speaking to his people. On the brink of devastation and ruin.

God was bringing FORTH HOPE to HIS people ISRAEL.

GOD IS STILL AND CAN STILL BRING FORTH HOPE TO YOU TODAY. TO YOU NEXT YEAR.

1.HE MAKES A WAY TO (ME)

He firrst majkes himself known to me. This is whrere we begin.

He already knows ME.

But i DONT KNOW HIM YET.

He Makes himself KNOWN TO ME:

Psalm 25:14 “14 The friendship of the Lord is for those who fear him, and he makes known to them his covenant.”

God MAKES A WAY INTO MY HEART AND MAKES HIMSELF KNOWN TO ME IN AND THROUGH MY RELATIOSHIP WITH JESUS.

Jesus told his disciples this in John:14:5-11 “5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?” 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.” 8 Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” 9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works. 11 Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me, or else believe on account of the works themselves.”

God, Through Jesus CHRIST Born crucified risen again as made himself known to the WORLD and to me.

He MAKES a way through

is 43:19 “19 Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”

Every single one of us begins this life in the WILDERNESS. The Wilderness of SIN, of Disobedience, of Separation. We are SEPARATED from the CITY of GOD we are out… and we are LOST. But.....

GOD makes..... and has MADE his way to you. Through His son JESUS.

Q: Do you remember “where you were” when you first Got saved? You might remember geographically. Like i can rememver “where” i sat in the hills hub center for the saturday evening service at 6pm on a saturday night. i remember my SEAT… “where i sat”.

BUT DO YOU REMEMBER “WHERE YOU WERE”..... in life?

Do you remember how lost you were?

Do you remember how far from HOPE you were?

… If you were like me… devastated by LOSS… i remember how HURT I WAS (a young 19 YO trying to resolve in my heart the loss of my mother and the complete breakdown of my life). I remenber “where” He found me. I remember “where” i was.

2.HE MAKES A WAY IN (ME)

or i could say t it like this: He makes HIS way in me.

JOKE: Wanna make God laugh>? Tell him your plans!

psalm 18:36 “You gave a wide place for my steps under me, and my feet did not slip.”

Proverbs 16:9 “9 The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.”

I believe this is for someone whos listening to this message today: 2022 is a year where you LET god Establish your steps. That you understand that whilst you can plan, you YIELD to the LORD when it comes to

WHAT IF WE BELIEVED FOR AN EVEN GREATER IN-WORKING BY THE HOLY SPIRIT IN OUR LIVES.

Proverbs 3:5-6 “5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”

3.HE MAKES A WAY THROUGH (ME).

God takes my very life, makes himself known to ME. Removes teh scales from my eyes

Then he Engraves into me his ways, his plans become my plans.....

Phil 2:12-13 “12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, 13 for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.”
